In response to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 impact on independent schools, we have adjusted and refocused our weekly Breakout Discussions to address the current needs of Summer and Auxiliary Program Directors. In addition to our regularly scheduled Wednesday Community Discussion at 2:00pm EST, we will now hold the following Breakout Discussions:
COVID-19 Discussion: Delivering Safe On-Campus Summer Programming in Response to COVID-19
Mondays, 2:00pm EST
Join other Directors of Summer Programs to discuss strategies, structures, and models to deliver safe, on-campus summer programming in light of COVID-19. This is an ideal forum for discussing screening, physical distancing, the use of cohorts, activity modifications, transportation, and health and hygiene. Utilizing available guidelines and emerging practices, attendees will help each other to refine their approaches to offering the safest possible programs during the summer of 2020.
COVID-19 Discussion: Planning After School and Enrichment Programming in Response to COVID-19
Thursdays, 12:00pm EST
Join a discussion with other directors about After School and Enrichment programming in the face of Coronavirus. Topics will include virtual programs, staffing implications, administrative issues, and vendor relationships.
COVID-19 Discussion: Developing and Leading Effective Virtual Summer Programs
Fridays, 2:00pm EST
As schools have moved their learning to an online format this spring, many summer and auxiliary program directors are planning for the delivery of online learning this summer as well. Join others for a discussion of what this could look like for your school.
