ROUNDTABLE: Work/Life Balance in 2024

This was a big topic in 2023. Let's revisit it and continue to help set some personal and group goals. What are your biggest work/life challenges as you start the new year? What strategies have you found helpful to manage your workload and find time for you and your personal life? Having your young kids come to camp or participate in your extended day can be a great bonus of the job, but what are the associated pitfalls? Being able to attend your high schooler's sports games on campus and having them work at camp can be rewarding, but the dynamics of faculty peers teaching your children can add tension to cafeteria interactions. Bring your current pain points, obstacles, and successes to the conversation so we can help each other navigate and find some work/life balance. We look forward to hearing the diversity of experiences and viewpoints from the SPARC community across generations and life spans!

This discussion is open to SPARC members only. We welcome and encourage participation from anyone with involvement in auxiliary programs including Directors, Assistant Directors, CFOs, and any other school personnel that are interested. The discussion will be facilitated by SPARC Senior Advisors, with the goal of encouraging the participation of all attendees. Recordings are available to SPARC members within 24 hours.
