2025 FAQs

When does the conference begin and end?
The 2025 conference officially begins with Pre-Conference Sessions on Sunday, October 5, at 1:00pm and a Welcome Reception for all attendees at 5:00pm. The main program begins Monday morning at 8:00am. The conference concludes  at 12:00pm on Wednesday, October 8.


How do I make hotel reservations?

Reservations are first-come, first-served, so we recommend booking early. Please note:

  • A one-night non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking.

  • Be sure of your travel plans before reserving.

  • Once the reserved room block is full, standard hotel rates will apply.

Are meals included in the registration fee?
Yes, breakfast, snacks, and lunch are provided to all attendees on Monday, October 6 and Tuesday, October 7, and then breakfast only on Wednesday, October 8. There will also be a poolside Welcome Reception on Sunday evening, October 5, at 5pm and an evening reception on Monday, October 6, on the Skyline Rooftop Terrace overlooking Camelback Mt. and downtown Scottsdale. Both of the evening receptions will serve light snacks.

What is the closest airport to the conference?
The Hotel Valley Ho is 7.5 miles (approximately 15 minutes) from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Taxi/Uber/Lyft is recommended - if you're feeling adventurous, try a driver-less Waymo!

What will the weather be in Scottsdale and what should I wear?
The typical average temperatures in Scottsdale in early October range from a high of 85 degrees to a low of 60 degrees. And sunshine is abundant! Please dress as casually and comfortably as you'd like - shorts and flip-flops are common at the conference and in the local area, but indoor spaces are air-conditioned so you may want to bring layers. We also offer an optional morning Fun Run, Camelback Mountain hike, and Sunrise Yoga so pack appropriately if you'd like to join those activities.

What are the registration cancellation policies?
For National Conference registrations, cancellations made prior to July 8, 2025 will receive a 75% refund. Cancellations made between July 8, 2025 and July 31, 2025 will receive a 50% refund. No refunds will be granted for cancellations made on or after August 1, 2025. All registered participants who do not cancel and do not attend are liable for the entire registration fee. We are unable to make exceptions for emergencies; however, you may send someone from your organization in your place.

Pre-Conference Workshops are non-refundable; however, you may send someone from your organization in your place. Because seats are limited for each pre-conference workshop, you may not be allowed to switch sessions on the day of the event due to space constraints.
