Maggie Magner: 2024 SPARC Excellence in Auxiliary Award Winner

Maggie Magner, Director of Auxiliary Programs at The Fenn School in Concord, Massachusetts, received the SPARC Excellence in Auxiliary Award for exemplary work and outstanding contributions to the field of independent school auxiliary programs. Nat Saltonstall, Executive Director of SPARC, presented the award at the SPARC National Conference in October.

SPARC Senior Advisor Bob Rojee praised Maggie as "a passionate advocate for youth development" who is "a deep thinker and cares a lot about our profession. She loves learning new things and does not back down from hard questions or issues."

Maggie is known for generously sharing her knowledge and expertise with the SPARC community. She attends every conference, frequently presents at Ignite sessions or webinars, and is a huge supporter of camp programs. At The Fenn School, she is recognized as an inspirational force for the people she hires, with many of them becoming full-time staff, adding to the diversity and enhancement of the school's culture.

She sets the highest standards of care for all campers while also prioritizing the well-being of her staff, setting an example as someone who is proactive, listens, gives the benefit of the doubt, and is quick to give encouragement and praise.
