Introducing SPARC's Tool of the Week

Posted By: Amy Grier SPARC News,

Elevate your skill set and bring more value to your auxiliary programs and schools with Tool of the Week, a free-for-members initiative presented by SPARC Senior Advisor David Sullivan.

David describes a tool as “a conceptual model, rubric, set of guiding questions, organizing graphic, worksheet, checklist, or something practical that helps you manage and lead your program.” Each week, David will share a new tool on SPARC Connect in our Collections folder. (Read how to find Collections here.) Members already have access to four powerful new tools:

  1. Three Pebble Ritual—Stay focused on daily tasks to reach larger goals

  2. Two Truths and a Lie—Ask questions that help you and your staff identify your program’s strengths and weaknesses

  3. Leadership for Learning –Conceptualize what fuels your successes and failures and what you need to do to improve results

  4. The 5-15 Exercise—Evaluate accomplishments for a given week and ready yourself for the week ahead

Members can comment on each tool and share their own variations. If you know of a tool that would be a great addition to the Toolbox, send it to david@SPARCnational.com.
