Tejan Walcott: SPARC 2024 Excellence in Auxiliary Award Winner

Tejan Walcott, Director of Auxiliary Programs at Westtown School in West Chester, Pennsylvania, received the SPARC Excellence in Auxiliary Award for exemplary work and outstanding contributions to the field of independent school auxiliary programs. SPARC Executive Director Nat Saltonstall presented the award to Tejan at the 2024 National Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona.

SPARC Senior Advisor Karen McCann McClelland praises Tejan as "a rock star" who "deserves this award as an up-and-coming professional in this field. "I had the good fortune and opportunity to be his 'executive coach' for his first years and it was such a pleasure working with him as he is thoughtful, creative, realistic, and just a wonderful human being!"

Colleagues describe Tejan as inquisitive, thoughtful, sharp, and solution-driven. He is known for possessing remarkable business sense and keen instincts.

Tejan's long-term goal is to become CFO. "I think he will be an amazing one," Karen says, "and can help further the auxiliary programs world in that role with his understanding of the potential we can bring in non-tuition revenue, programming opportunities, new initiatives, and increasing the school brand."
